Don't
leave your tackle and rubbish behind
This could end up in the water and harm or kill a fish.
When you've finished fishing for the day, take everything
with you and leave the area as you found it. When you get
home safely dispose of rubbish that can't be recycled like
bait bags, hooks and line.
Don't
flush aquarium fish and plants down the toilet
Many
of these, such as gold fish, are pests in NSW waters and can
cause harm to native creatures and plants.
Don't
damage aquatic plants
These
provide shelter and food for fish and other creatures.
Don't
wash scraps down the sink
Tea
leaves, vegetable peel, food scraps, milk, cooking oil and
fat that is washed down the drain pollute the waterways and
harm fish.
